I have been a foodie since birth, but I have been slowly capturing the art and my love for food and texture during my time in college.

Going to college in Atlanta, Georgia, was amazing since it’s a foodies second heaven. Growing up, I was used to certain cuisines that I knew that I liked such as Mediterranean, Italian, Indian, and Thai food - but never learned the different culinary intricacies.

Upon moving to THE New York City, I started my Instagram page @anishatheexplorer which was completely dedicated to food. I was so excited to just try everything the city had to offer. From the Russian and Uzbekistani cuisines in Brighton Beach, to West Indian rotis in Jamaica, Queens, to Astoria for the best Greek souvlakis, and the best dimsum in Flushing - I had a lot of it (and there’s always new places and flavors to try)!
